Bharathanatiyam is one of the oldest and traditional form of classical dance
that originated in Tamil Nadu. Bharathanatiyam theoretical foundation traces
to the ancient Sanskrit text by Bharata Muni’s Natya Shastra, its existence by
2 nd century. Bharathanatiyam is strictly adheres to the Natyashastra.
Bharathanatiyam is a confluence of bhavam, ragam and thalam – the three
essential components of dance.
Kalaiyugam Natyalaya was founded in 2006 by Smt. Justi Kishore which
specializes in Pandhanai Nallur style of Bharathanatiyam. The students will be
taught the Fine Arts of Bharathanatiyam to develop self confidence to Shine in
the society.
Kalaiyagam Natyalaya is a registered institute. Inculcating Indian Culture and
Tradition to the younger generation professionally is the primary aim of the
Institution.
Kuchipudi
Kuchipudi is originated in a village named Kuchipudi in the Indian state of Andra Pradesh.Bala Gopala Tharangam is one of the famous item in the Kuchipudi dance. The dancer balances a pot of water on her head while dancing on a edges of the brass plate. We are teaching kuchipudi dance professionally for the students and make them to perform in the various programmes.
Mohiniyattam
Mohiniyattam is the traditional dance form of kerala. Mohiniyattam derives its name from the word Mohini, a female avatar of Lord Vishnu. Mohiniyattam adheres to the Lasya type that showcases a more graceful gentle and feminine form of dancing.
Kaliyugam natyalaya gives an opportunity for the student to learn other state traditional dances.
Western Dance
Kalaiyugam Natyalaya gives an opportunity to learn western dance professionally. We train our students to express themselves creatively and make them to perform on the stage. We teach western dance including cine folk, free style, hip hop, jazz and all styles. We make the students to perform in various competitions and programmes.
Veenai
The Veena has always been considered as an instrument of Gods and hence the name “Divine instrument” has been attributed to it. Veena is the favourite instrument of several important dieties including Lord Saraswati the goddess of arts and learning. We at Kalaiyugam Natyalaya are privileged to teach this divine art to our students.
Carnatic Vocal
Carnatic Music is a renowned Indian Classical Genre and it is primarily
associated with Southern India which includes the State Andra Pradesh,
Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Carnatic music is one of the most
recognized music genres in South Indian Classical Music. Carnatic music has
rich antiquity and tradition and is considered as one of the treasures in the
world music.
The origin of carnatic music dates back to the 13 th century A.D. During the
period three of the most renowned musicians Thyagaraja, Shamashastri and
Muthuswami Dikshitar compiled their famous composition. They were also
called trinity of carnatic music. Following in their footsteps, other musicians
and composers have also contributed to the evolution of carnatic music.
Singing our traditional music is a form of bhakthi by itself. Music is considered
as one of the Vedas and Sangeerthanam is the only way to reach God. Hence
it is the proud privilege of all of us at Kalaiyugam Natyalaya to engaged in this
divine art and teaching it to our students. We also train our students for the
Annamalai University Grade Examinations.
Keyboard
Keyboard is the perfect first instrument for kids and adults. Learning keyboard will help you to develop your valuable skills and achieve your musical ambitions. We at Kalaiyugam Natyalaya teach Western music on the Keyboard. We also cover the syllabus for the trinity grade examination.
Violin

Violin is a heart and soul touching instrument. The sound of the violin is special, it touches heart in a particular way, because no other instrument sits as closely to the heart as the Violin does.
Violin is a demanding and beautiful instrument and it requires much dedication and practice to become a competent violin player. Fortunately it is possible to find violin classes in Kalaiyugam Natyalaya we can teach you everything from the basic to most advanced in Carnatic Style.
Guitar
The expert stumming of the guitar gives one of the feel of a thousand birds taking off to the sky and this is the imagery that would like our students to relate to and this is how the class is conducted. We train our students for the trinity grade examination.
Yoga
Yoga is an ancient art based on a harmonizing system of development for the
body, mind and spirit. The continued practice of yoga will lead you to a sense
of peace and well-being and also a feeling of being at one with their
environment. We at Kaliyugam Natyalaya teach Yoga for ladies and kids.
Drawing

Drawing takes co-ordination between our hands, eyes and brain. Drawing helps us to map out mental images of the world we see around us. In Kalaiyugam Natyalaya we teach basic drawing, oil and water colour painting, glass painting, warli painting, pot painting and illusion art by professional artist.
Mridangam
Mridangam is also known as "Deva Vadyam" is a divine instrument and one of the most widely used rhythemic accompaniment (Pakka Vadyam) in Carnatic musical concerts.
It belongs to the Percussion family with more than 2000 years of Indian history. We Kalaiyugam Natyalaya glad to teach this ancient origin of "Deva Vdayam" to our students.
Drums
Drums are the world's oldest and most obiquitous musical instrument and the basic design has remained virtually unchanged for thousands of years. This is purely a rhythm instrument and is not really capable of playing the melody or harmony often referred to as the time keeper of the band. Drummer play a very crucial role is keeping band together and contribute considerebly to the energy and momentum of the music.
We kalaiyugam Natyalaya teach the rudiments of drum instrument and also students gain technical command over different styles of music.
